Our Journey

2018: Our 5 founders (Tim, Lena, Simon, Fabian, and Jannis) are turning a bachelor's thesis into a company: air up.

2019: The first air up bottles and 5 flavor pods are launched on the German market, and they are sold out immediately! In just 6 weeks, 80,000 starter sets are gone.

2020: The COVID-19 pandemic hit us, transforming us into a company with a focus on remote working. Meanwhile, our journey took us into new markets as we started selling in Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, and France.

2021: We've made our market entry in Switzerland, Italy, and the UK. To produce our products closer to our customers and shorten delivery routes, we have opened two new warehouses in France and the UK.

2022: The journey continues: the USA and Sweden get a taste for air up. We launch our Steel Bottles and throw an unforgettable summer party, where we welcome special guest Anja Blacha, the youngest German woman to have climbed all seven thousand-meter peaks.

2023: Since 2023, we have been producing all our Tritan bottles in Austria and have opened a new pod production facility in Holland. We have also launched our new Gen 2 bottles, made from 50% certified recycled materials and featuring a new ActiveOn mouthpiece.

2024: We've made our market entry in Spain, and now our products are available in 14 European countries and the USA. We are constantly updating our product portfolio and launching new bottle colors and pod flavors.
